It's been hard to pinpoint exactly what Jordan Thurman's enigmatic style resembles. Some say it's a crossover between the pop sensibility of Daryl Hall and the honest, effortless simplicity of Neil Young. Others say he's like Beck or something. In his solo acoustic form, the soulful purity of Jordan's voice drifts along with dreamy chord structures, and the occasional harmony and percussion from his wife, Sonya.

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. [
Rion Page & Rhyme Partners]

As a contestant on the third season of The X-Factor, teen songstress Rion Paige bounced (quite literally) into millions of homes—ultimately blowing away the judges with her cover of Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away." Judge Simon Cowell effused, "Rion, I think you are literally extraordinary!" He went on to compare Paige to Underwood and predicted the same stardom for Paige.
While mesmerizing the crowd and judges, Paige's life-long disability, arthrogryposis multiplex congenital (a rare disorder that causes a curving of the joints), was merely an afterthought. Paige's joints formed differently, resulting in hands that make it difficult to perform everyday tasks. The girl with boundless energy explains, "I just have to learn to do things differently."One thing she didn't have to do differently was sing. It was clear that she had a talent that far exceeded children of her age. |

Stan (guitar) and Brett (mandolin) are the original members. They met picking one night at the Station Inn and their harmonies blended to produce that well known high lonesome bluegrass sound. Soon Kasey (fiddle) was invited to pick one nightand the 3rd part was found. A few months later Kyle (banjo) sat in for a local gig, and couldn't stay away. The four immediately became great friends, and a bond was formed that has grown stronger as we have played and performed together as Back 80 Bluegrass over the past few years. We have been developing a hard driving bluegrass sound that will make you tap your foot and put a smile on your face.
